Hi Tim,Your columns are wonderful, but I don’t know how to post anything. I have tried. Maybe this is a “post” and maybe not. I am not sure. Yes, in the long run, Putin will suffer for his effort to destroy the Ukraine. But, in the short or intermediate term, I fear mass injury and death and the loss of the democracy and nation they have worked so hard to build. I weep for them. And, I think the U.S. should have armed them with ways to knock out Russia’s missiles. I don’t care if they are members of NATO or not. They deserved our protection. In its perverse way, the last two days have seen the biggest rallies in stock markets in years. And yes, the Spring does follow the Winter. Let’s hope that February proves to be the cruelest month, and not March. Thanks for writing these newsletters. They are great. Joyce

Hi Joyce… Thanks for the kind words and the comments… all received. This website/blog is still a bit balky; working to make it easier. Please keep reading and share with anyone. Want to get to 1000 followers then take over the world.
Tim, nicely said. We optimists need to stick together. Though watching the horribly bloody war in Ukraine and then hearing despicable people like Trump and Tucker Carlson praise the despot Putin is disheartening and sad, to say the least.

And let’s hope Trump, Tucker and their ilk are becoming the outliers…
