What a moving story. I too worry that too many Americans take their freedoms for granted, this explains the political apathy and willingness of some to accept disinformation. In court, FOX says their disinformation is “infotainment”, and yes, the circus is all entertainment– until your life depends upon understanding the truth.

Enjoyed this piece very much but found it heartbreaking. Ukrainians are risking their lives to defend their young democracy. We are offended by Putin’s misinformation campaign but don’t recognize it in our own country. American’s don’t realize how our own democracy is threatened. Even worse, we don’t care.
