Idiotic was a poor choice of a word. The dead kids, and innocents are of course, horrific. The point I wanted to make, was that evil must be defeated. IMO, the problem with a cease fire, is if Hamas would lay down their arms tomorrow, the war would be over, and the innocents could be cared for, and perhaps (although not likely) the Gaza strip could be rebuilt like we did Germany and Japan after they surrendered. If Israel put down their arms tomorrow, Hamas would continue to slaughter the Jews.

Israel can defend themselves. I just find it impossible to stomach the US giving 15+ BILLION and using chemical weapons (white phosphorus in Dhayra) against civilians. Morally reprehensible and against humanitarian law. Its a complicated history in the region and both Israel and Palestine have their faults, certainly. At this point, Netanyahu is essentially committing genocide. The only winners in this war are Lockheed Martin & the rest of the military industrial complex.
