  1. you didn’t mention one battle after another, which was nominated for best picture – comedy or musical. And it was really good. Also if memory serves, Tina is a great ping pong player so Marty Surpreme might surprise you 🙂

  2. Well, sir, I’m an even grumpier and older geezer, and I (and Dorothy) liked One Battle after Another. We also enjoyed watching the rom-com People We Meet on Vacation (Netflix) and the somewhat original take on the detective thriller Neighborhood Watch (Hulu or HBO+). However, I will agree with you regarding current state of movies shown at the multiplexes.

    1. Perhaps you are a bit older sir, but doubt that you are grumpier. Ask Tina. I’ll check out People We Meet on Vacation and Neighborhood Watch. Tina liked One Battle, I fell asleep. But, of course, I fall asleep a lot. Thanks for reading!

  3.  Well written and funny enough that a person might think it was an exaggeration, but it’s not: it is the literal truth.  Yet, you conveniently overlook the occasional greatness of Hollywood.  What about Nuremburg (which you and Tina commended to me just a few weeks ago)?  It is these random rewards that keep us going to the movies.   Joyce.  Joyce Rothschild

    1. Agree that Hollywood puts out an occasional OK movie. Nuremburg was good (no great IMO), but was not nominated for a Golden Globe, nor was it playing at the local Metroplex. Thanks for reading!
